Ghajini

A lot had been said and read about this movie that this is the biggest grosser Indian movie etc. In fact, i could not believe the fact that Aamir Khan the actor had worked really hard to tone his body and get that 8 pack abs. Let me begin by saying that am not a big fan of Aamir but i really admire his acting abilities. When i first saw the poster of Ghajini, i felt the pic has been morphed and Aamir would not do so. But Aamir so does so and did not disappoint his director who wanted him in that body. One example of perfectionism is to be seen here and Aamir passed with A+. The female lead (Asin) is stunnigly beautiful and didnt let me watch her closely from the perspective of Acting. It's sad to see her die so soon in the movie. Lets discuss more about the film.

a) I never knew what Ghajini meant untill you watch the movie and to your shock, its the name of the movie...I said myself, "what a joke". Am not sure if any other director has casted the name of his movie over the name of his villain
b) Film gives a very South Indian film look different from a film shot in Mumbai. Its very typical to see the villains assistants rotate 360 degree in air when the hero beats their ass. This happens in Ghajini too.
c) Aamir is returning from Harvard Business School in a private jet all the way from Boston and what a reception he gets. No one on the runway. Seems his company has bought the runway too.
Am not sure if Ambanis kids can also have that luxury
d) He is seen with folded shirt much above the elbow and looks weird to me. A corporate honcho presnting himself like this looks very casual.
e) He gives interview outside his office with a casual outlook saying he has retuned from Harvard. And then talks to his "American" assistant.
f) The inspector who checks in Aamir's house and is locked doesnt have any backup plan, or tries to call the police. Later, Aamir is chasing the police and police is on the run...so funnny

I liked the dialogue when the Villain Ghajini says "Woh short term memory patient mujhe yaad dilaaeygaa...." this is funny.

Film promotion in India is done at its highest level where the actor here is ready to turn a barber himself for a day. The theatre ushers shave off their head in ghajini style to promote the film etc.
ll in all, i'll say Ghajini is just an ordinary flick. Just adding blows and whistles to a film does not make it extraordinary. I'll rate the movie 6/10
